I'm not a particularly good manager because, like a lot of autistic people, I don't like being told what to do, so I don't like telling other people what to do. What I also found useful, which I wasn't expecting, was having a "sounding-board" - I run my ideas past the team and they'll tell me honestly if they think it's a good use of my time or not. They save me from going down unproductive rabbit-holes! They understand neurodivergent business owners. They don't judge or question why I can't do a thing, they just help me get it done. They're responsive to what I say; for example, if I say sending a photo helps keep me accountable, or that my reminders need context, they'll build that into our work.
